Show Military Services To Be Held for Lt. Frank Hunter ( ' ! V FRANK HUNTER The body of Lt. Frank Hamb-lin Hamb-lin Hunter, 28, who was killed on July 22, 1913 while on a bombing mission over Foggia, Italy, arrived today In Cedar City Ci-ty from Italy, and graveside services ser-vices will be held Friday, De-cember De-cember 1, at 2:00 p. m. in the Cedar City cemetery. Military rites will be rendered at graveside by the Cedar Am-erica Am-erica n Legion, Post No. 74. Friends may call at the Jensen mortuary from 12 noon until time of service. Lt. Hunter enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1942. Following his cadet training, he received a commission as a second Lieutenant Lieu-tenant and was later sent overseas over-seas with his unit. A son of Miles W. and Alta Hamblin Hunter, he was born April 5, 1915 In Cedar City. He attended Cedar City schools and graduated from the Cedar City high school in 1933. He attended the Branch Agricultural college for two years and then continued his studies at at the Arizona State Teachers' college at Flag, staff. He was an outstanding athlete ath-lete through his school years, and continued to participate after his graduation. In 1937, he married Luzon Anderson An-derson In Richfield. They made their home In Salt Lake City while Lt. Hunter worked in the Bingham copper mines as an electrician, prior to entering the service. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Verl Peterson, Richfield; his mother, mo-ther, Mrs. Alta Johnson, Cedar City; a grandmother, Mrs. Jane W. Hunter, Cedar City, and a grandfather, F. M. Hamblin, of Kanab. |
