Show Funeral Services Held For Mrs. Lewis Arnold Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed in the First Ward Chapel last Thursday afternoon for Mrs. Lewis Arnold, who died on Sunday, Sun-day, January 9th, following a long illness from a heart ailment. ail-ment. The services were conducted conduct-ed by Bishop James Heywood of the Cedar Fifth Ward. Speakers at the services were Dr. James S. Prestwich and William Wil-liam Snow, former Bishop of the Fifth Ward. Invocation was by Miss Loretta Perry, benediction, by W. H. Leigh, and dedication of the grave by C. William Mac-farlane. Mac-farlane. The musical program included a vocal solo. "In The Garden of Tomorrow", by Chauncey Mac-farlane; Mac-farlane; a vocal duet "Jesus, Lover of My Soul", by Myles Walker and Ray Cosslett, and a vocal solo "Lay My Head Beneath Be-neath a Rose", by Give Hart-man. Hart-man. Mrs. Beth Leigh was accompanist ac-companist for each of the songs. |
