Show UcYCASTLE Newcastle's Fourth of July celebration was an enjoyable one, consisting of a day-break salute, flag raising ceremonies, and a patriotic meeting at the church in the forenoon. A lovely program was rendered at the meeting after which the people went to the "Village Green" to participate in sports and games for a few hours. Among the Fourth of July visitors vis-itors here were Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Knell, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Ron-ald Knell and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Ches-ter Knell, Pinto; Mrs. Edith Col-lins Col-lins of Caliente, Nevada; Mrs. Evelyn Burgess and children of St George, Mrs. Minnie Beacham and Mrs. Helen Jensen of Cedur City, and Mrs. Katherine Simpson Simp-son and Bonnie Jean Gillies of Las Vegas, Nevada. The recent rain storms slowed up the harvest of the hay crop here, interfering with both haul ing and baling. Robert Piatt has gone to Calgary, Cal-gary, Canada, for a short visit with his brother, Thomas Piatt, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Farns-worth Farns-worth and family spent the week end in Beaver with relatives and friends. |
