Desert Mound took the measure meas-ure of the Southern Utah Power 13 to 12, and the Iron County Record edged out the Utah Construction, Con-struction, 8 to 7. The Southern Utah Power, the only team to play two games won their second encounter against the Peoples Market, 10 to 5, while the Columbia Colum-bia Iron Mines, undefeated as yet, turned back the Junior Chamber, 19 to 5. Next week's schedule is as follows: fol-lows: July 6, Desert Mound vs Junior Chamber, 8 p. m., and Utah Construction Con-struction vs Columbia Iron Mines 9 p. m. Friday, July 7, Bradshaw Firestone Fire-stone vs Bradshaw Chevrolet, 7 p. m... and Peoples Market vs Junior Chamber, 8 p. m. Saturday, July 8, at 8 p. m. the Southern Utah Power will play the Iron County Record. Monday. July 10, Desert Mound vs Iron County Record, 7 p. m.; Utah Construction vs Bradshaw Chevrolet, 8 p. m and Bradshaw Firestone vs Columbia Iron Mines, 9 p. m. Tuesday, July 11, Bradshaw Firestone vs Junior Chamber, 7 p. m., and Utah Construction vs Southern Utah Power, 9 p. m. In the last Issue of the Record a mistake was discovered in the box score of the Bradshaw Chev-rolet Chev-rolet vs Junior Chamber game. It has been discovered, contrary to previous printing, that the Bradshaw Chevrolet team won the game 6 to 5. This gives Bradshaw Brad-shaw an extra win and makes it necessary to charge the Junior Jun-ior Chamber with another loss. The above team standings has been corrected and is accurate as far as it is known. There has also been considerable consid-erable confusion in the minds of fans in regards to the Utah Construction and the Desert I Mound teams. In order to straighten them out it is necessary neces-sary to point out that the Desert Des-ert Mound team wears orange Jerseys, that have the reading Utah Construction" on the back. ,The Utah Construction team usually us-ually wears only a plain tee shirt with no lettering. Both teams are made up of employees of the Utah Construction company and are sponsored by that company, but the distinction Is in the vi-cinity vi-cinity that the men are work-i work-i lng on their respective jobs with the company. it |
