Show Encch and Midvalley Elder Denton Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Jones, who has just returned from the Western rta.es mission field, was speaker at Sacrament meeting Sunday. Seventy per cent of the ward members were in attendance to hear Mr. Jones' report. As an added feature of the meeting all the returned missionaries sang a number. The group Included In-cluded thirteen former missionaries. mission-aries. Richard (Bud) Halterman. who is attending school at the BYU in Provo, was home over the Thanksgiving holidays to visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Millard Halterman. Glen Jones, also a student at BYU, was also home to visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Jones, and his brother Denton, who had Just returned from a mission. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Grimshaw and family arrived here this week from Fort Lewis, Washington, Washing-ton, where Paul has been stationed sta-tioned with the Armored Field Artillery. Mrs. Grimshaw and children will remain here while Paul spends three months in special spe-cial training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Okla-homa. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Haight spent Thanksgiving in Salt Lake City, where they went particularly particular-ly to seet the University of Utah-USAC Utah-USAC football game. Their son Drew Is a member of the USAC, and was accorded honorable mention on the all -conference selections. Mr. and Mrs. Haight were accompanied by Miss Mary Bell Ivle. Drew spent a few days at home .over the week nd. Ashton and Gordon Smith and their families spent Thanksgiving Thanksgiv-ing day with their parents, Bishop and Mrs. Stanley Smith. |
