Show I j Special Enlistment Incentives Offered By U. S. Army Special enlistment Incentives, in the form of higher grades, are now being offered veterans and civilians without prior military service who possess skills equivalent to those aeeded In the Army Air Forces, according ac-cording to Information received today to-day from Recruiting Officials of the Cedar City Army Recruiting Station. "This plan gives some persons without previous service a chance to join the Regular Army In high grades on the merit of their civilian civil-ian experiences," stated officials. "It also gives former military and naval personnel who were separated separat-ed from the services before May 12, 1943, and who possess one of the necessary skilled job specialties a chance, to rejoin In a high grade." Applicants possessing the necessary neces-sary qualifications are directed from recruiting stations. to the nearest Army Air bases where they are interviewed to determine the degree of their skill. They then return to their homes to await grade author-tion. author-tion. Final approval Is made by the Commanding General, Army Air Forces, after which applicants are notified by letter to their homes. |
