B Y Academy The gentleman said that in speaking of criticism we have reference to the tendency tendency tendency ten ten- dency of modern thought and feeling F We wish to see what our best thinkers are saying and writing and in what K t direction th their ir ideas tend He then showed that the thought of our noblest F men and women of today is tending 1 toward reality The criticism of the past has done much uch good for religion by hJ letting in the light of truth and blowing blowing blowing blow blow- ing away the mists of superstition t The ideal state is perfect human fellowship fellowship fellowship fellow fellow- ship and good feeling Criticism will never cease until this is accomplished rJ He next spoke of the influence of R- R criticism on sociology Modern thought tends toward unification of ourselves with our surroundings and seeks for forthe forthe forthe the means by which we can bring ourselves ourselves ourselves our our- selves into harmony with our environ environ- r 1 I ments Criticism is doing a great service for humanity generally It is teaching a spirit of tolerance and forbearance forbearance for for- for bearance bearance and will not cease until it has accomplished catholic feeling catholic catholic catholic catho catho- lic reason and catholic judgment The meeting opened by a duet by Miss Rennie Ridges and Miss Amy Hagman and a piano solo by Miss Honsaker concluded the program iA U |
