Show ElEscalante Hotel Plans Gala Opening Celebration The Escalante hotel In Cedar City will be re-opened for business busi-ness on Monday, May 1, according accord-ing to an announcement made today by Bernard Quinn, supervisor super-visor of Hotel and Dining room service for the Utah Parks company. com-pany. The hotel will open under the management of William Arthur . Hansen, who has served with I the Utah Parks Company for a number of years. He has been at Sun Valley lodge during the past winter. In 1929 he was sup-jervisor sup-jervisor of the Zion cafeteria, and was chief clerk at Zion lodge in 1948. Mr. Quinn states that a rousing rous-ing celebration is planned for the opening of the hotel, and extends an invitation to every-one every-one to join in the festivities. Features of the celebration will be a buffet dinner, followed by a dance. Two of the best chefs from Sun Valley will be brought to Cedar City to prepare the dinner, and llarl Smith's orchestra, direct from the famed Sun Valley lodge, will be on hand to fur-nish fur-nish the music for the dancing in the evening. Since the number that can be served at dinner will be limited, Mr. Quinn suggests that reservations reser-vations hp made immediately by those who plan to attend. |
