Show Parachute Co. Of Utah Calls For Additional Help The Parachute Company or Utah today announced that that a new contract received from the Ordnance department of the U. S. Army has opened positions for mpre than 200 Women at Its Utah plant. The announcement wu made by 0. E. Pauntleroy, president, who said that "we are proud to have been able to bring this new business with its attendant steady employment to these added hundreds of Southern Utah women." The new contract has resulted in ' a current Intensive campaign to jecure workers for the company's ultra-modem plant at Manll. "We want 200 more women of the same high character and capability capa-bility as those who are now working work-ing for us. "This Is the critical stage of war production. The fact that our armed arm-ed forces now are beginning to take the oliensive, in some sections caused caus-ed a let-down In production. I am happy to say this is not true of the workers In our plant." Mr. Pauntleroy said he Is "depending "de-pending on the women of Cedar Olty and vicinity to provide at many as 20 of the workers he needs." He said that a representative of the company will be in Cedar City all day tomorrow to Interview women for this work. "Our representative wants to talk to every woman Interested in this work," Mr. Pauntleroy said. "The editor of this newspaper has consented con-sented to let us make our headquarters head-quarters for the day In their office. of-fice. All those interested may call , this office, and our representative will arrange to see them at their home or at the newspaper office." Such interviews, he explained, will not place applicant under any obligation. The representative will tell them about the work, explain earnings. He also has complete information in-formation on living conditions in Mantl. "We hope that many Cedar City women will respond to our call," Mr. Pauntleroy said. 'This income will stay right in Southern Utah, where it belongs. Several women of this city can live together, if they like, and share the opportunities for profitable service to the war effort.
