Show Funeral Services For Earl Gower Held Friday Funeral services were held at tho Third Ward Chapel Friday afternoon, after-noon, August 20th., for Earl Cower with Bishop J. Clatr Plat of the Cedar Fourth Wa d presiding. Mr. Gower died Muldenly on August 18th. of a heart attutk. He was stricken as he was leaving work at the Iron mines although he was apparently In the test of health until the moment of the attack. at-tack. The opening song of the services 'I Know My Heavenly Father Knows' by a mixed quartet composed of Mrs. Annette Betensen M s. Cora Oondle. Mrs. Abbie Riddle, Mrs. Zelma Lunt. Ray Cosslett, Herschel Neeley. Wm. Macfarlane and Miles Walker, accompanied by Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Webster. The quartet also sang the closing number. "I Know My Redeemer Lives", with Mr Cosslett Coss-lett as soloist. Other musical numbers num-bers Included a vocal solo, "Tills ts My Task" ty Herschell Neeley. accompanied by Mrs. Webster; vocal solo "Lay My Head Beneath a Rose" by Miles Walker, accompaniel by Mrs. Webster, and a violin solo, "The End of a Perfect Day", by Roy L. Halversen, accompanied by Frank Van Cott. Speakers wee Keith Macfarlane, Samuel F. Leigh and brief remarks were made by Bp. Piatt. The invocation invo-cation was by Carolos Jones, Benediction Ben-ediction by Oliver Jensen and the dedication of the grave by Charles R. Hunter. |
