Parowan staged a nuld upset In tripping Coach Lee Hufen's Dixie Flyers, and Orderville Or-derville wallop Enterprise by a score of 48 to 20 Saturday night, after Enterprise had trimmed Kanab 42 to 41 Friday night. Coach Claude Adams' Parowan Rams took an 8 to 7 lead over the Flyers in the first quarter, and Increased In-creased this to 18 to 10 at half time and 20 to 17 by the end of the third period, and staved off a de.-pirate Dixie rally In the last quarter. Enterprise took a 15 to 6 lead over Kanub In the first quarter of their game Friday night, held a 21-19 lead at half time, and drop- ped behind 31 to 35 In the third quarter, but rallied In the final canto to win. Saturday night the Valley team I from Orderville completely dominated dom-inated the play against Enterprise to win easily. The Cedar high school Redmen will play two league games this week, meeting the Dixie Flyers at St. George Friday night, and returning re-turning home for a ime with the Kanab Cowbojs Saturday night. Coach George Cooper will pro-; tably stand pat on the line-up that has started practically all of the Uedmen practice games, with Sandy San-dy Corry at center, Darwin Woodbury Wood-bury and Miles Urle, at forward, and Arlan Bauer and Gene Justet at t-aard. Although the remaining members of the squad have not seen much action, most of Cooper's reserve strength will probably come from Alex Milne and Blaine Be-ensen, Be-ensen, guards and Keith Crlpps, forward. Other games in the division this week end will be Kanab at Paro-' wan and Hurricane at Enterprise Friday night and Parowan at Hurricane Hur-ricane Friday. A preliminary game will be played play-ed Saturday night, with the Tenth and Eleventh grade teams tangling before the Uedmen and the Cowboys Cow-boys take the floor. |
