Show Commencement Exercises Planned at Branch College, The forth-fourth graduating class of the Branch Agricultural I College will be addressed by Dr. I Ernest A. Jaco'osen of the Utah State Agricultural College of Lo-i Lo-i gan at their commencenyent exercises ex-ercises to be held May 19. at B:00 !p.m.. in the L.D.S. Insititute. Tlv exercises will be presided over by the Honorable C. G. Adney, Pres-' Pres-' icient of the Board of Trustees. .President Elmer G. Peterson of the 1 Agricultural College of Logan will award the diplomas. Mary Albert-son, Albert-son, Valedictorian. and Virginia Beasley. Salutorlan. will deliver their rcsjvitivc speeches. Other numbers on the program will be the conferinj of nw.uds and presentation of graduates by Director Dir-ector Henry Oberhansley, a violin solo ty Bethel Sylvester accompanied accompan-ied by Mrs. Virginia Larson, and a string ensemble under the direct-Ion direct-Ion of Professor Roy L. Halversen. Director and Mrs. Henry Oberhansley Ober-hansley will hold a reception for the faculty, trustees, alumni, graduates and natrons at the L.D. S. Institute from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. I At 5:00 pm. the Army Air Corps will present a retreat revclw at the college staduim. Following the graduation exer-, dses will be the induction ceremony of the class of '44 into the Almunl Association, which will take place at the alumni and faculty reception recept-ion for graduates, and parents at the college gymnasium at 9:30 p.m. The graduating students are: Edythe Adams, Mary Albertson, Virginia Vir-ginia Beasley, Bonnie Lou Dallcy, Marian Leigh and Alice Roberts of Cedar City. Katie Barlocker of Enterprise, En-terprise, Dorothy Hulet of Summit, Evaleen Hulet of Parowan, Thalia Rlggs of Hatch, Bethel Sylvester of Annibel and Morgan White of Monroe. |
