When stiff and thick, after adding ad-ding all of the oil, add slowly 4 T vinegar. Variation to Stretch Diessinc Combine 3 T cornstarch with 3 T of the oil used in the mayonnaise. Add 1 c hot water slowly and cook to a thick paste, or sauce, while still hot combine with the mayonnaise mayon-naise mixture given above. When the mixture cools, the dressing will again thicken. Tlie hot starchy mixture mix-ture cut the oily taste, improves the keeping quality. |
