Show Lions Club Members Hear Talks On Interesting: Subjects The membeis of the Lions tluo who attend d the weekly meeting of the clu: Monday enjoyed two short talk on interesting subjects, given by cluj members. Vice Presld.nt Joe Fakler gave a discussion of the development of dining service on the nation's railroads, rail-roads, and told of some of the problems connected with maintaining maintain-ing such service. Dr. Reed W. Farnsworth, president presid-ent of the club, told of the development devel-opment of tli drug pennlcilln, and of the Importance It Is now playing play-ing and will play In the future in fighting various types of disease. The production of the drug, he said, has incr.ased so rapidly, that it is now available to civilians In all parts of the country. He pointed out that the Iron County hospital in Cedar City Is the distribution renter for southern Utah, and that a sup;ly of the dni3 Is now available. avail-able. No nvctlng of the club will be held next week because the meet-In? meet-In? day falls on Pioneer Day. The tvxt regular meeting will be held Monday, July 3ist. |
