Show Annual Livestock Show May Become Three-Day Event Interest in the annual Southern Utah Livestock Show has increased increas-ed to such an extent thut the Association As-sociation is now considering extending ex-tending the show into a three day event instead of the usual two, uo-cording uo-cording to Clarence Lamoreaux, President of the Show Association. Dates for this year's show had previously been set for Friday nncl Saturday, September loth, and 16th., but if another day is adifi' the show will open on Thuisdav September 14th. and continue until Saturday night. Under tlhe new plan the first day will be devoten to Juding of the entries, with the second day devoted to organization meetings, and entertainment. Tho final day will be devoted entirely to the auction sale. The three day show will givi! peopie a better chance to visit th? ' show and see the exhibits after th:-; Judging has been don? and will give more time for organization! and planning of the unction sale. The Cedar City Chamber m" Commerce and the City Administration Adminis-tration will arrange the enter-' talnment events for the second day. j Mr. Lamoreaux announc s that the Auction Sale, has been appointed, ap-pointed, with John M. Brown as chairman, assisted by Lehi M. Jones, Fred L. Biederman, Elton Jonrs, France Middleton and Dick Leigh. John Lundell, President of the Southern Utah Livestock As-1 sociatlon, has been added to the central committee, announced last week. A meeting of all committee chairmen, chair-men, will be held at Livestock Association As-sociation offices in C:dar City Saturday, Sat-urday, July 32nd., for the purpose of discussing all problems connected connect-ed with the show and completing the three day program. |
