Show Funeral Services , Held Yesterday For Sanders Huntington Funeral services were held in the First Ward chapel Wednesday afternoon af-ternoon for Sanders Huntington, 49, owner of the New Method Cleaning Clean-ing plant, who died suddenly at his home Friday morning of a heart attack. at-tack. He had gone to work Friday morning in apparent good health, but was stricken soon after he arrived. ar-rived. He returned to his home, but succumbed to the attack shortly afterwards. af-terwards. Mr. Huntington came to Cedar City from Preston, Idaho, In March, 1945, and had operated the New Methods Cleaning Co. plant since. Prior to coming here he had oper- ated a cleaning business In Preston for several years. Mr. Huntington was engaged in the sugar beet industry for many years and had worked at various times at Delta, Gunnison and Hooper, Utah; Torrlngton and Worland, Wyoming; Twin Falls, Paul and Preston, Idaho, and Wav-erlj, Wav-erlj, Iowa. Born In Sprlngvllle on July 14, 1897, he was a son of Will and Elizabeth Eliza-beth Blanchard Huntington. He married Eva Llewellyn of Mapleton In the Salt Lake temple on April 19, 1916. Surviving are his widow, six sons and daughters, Bill, Dean, Robert, Kent and Sherma Ann Huntington, all of Cedar City; Mrs. Betty Snyder, Snyd-er, Montgomery, Ala.; four grandchildren grand-children and five brothers and sisters, sis-ters, Will Huntington, Tooele, Fred Huntington, Belle Fourche, S. D.; B. T. Huntington, San Francisco, and Mrs. A. E. Money, Spanish Park. The funeral services were conduced conduc-ed by Bishop H. P. Dotson of the First Ward. Speakers were Loran Hlrschl and W. Arthur Jones. The musical program included a vocal solo, "Fac'e to Face", by Her-schell Her-schell Neeley, accompanied by Mrs. Shirley N. Cowan; a vocal solo "Lay My Head Beneath a Rose" by Myles Walker, accompanied by Mrs. Beth Leigh, and a song, "Jesus, Lover of My Soul", by a mixed quartet composed com-posed of Mrs. Zelma Lunt, Mrs. Maude Halversen, Herschell Neeley and Mjles Walker, accompanied by Mrs. Bernella Jones. |
