Show CONVENTON HOST John M. Brown S Elks Complete Plans For State Convention Here June 7, 8, and 9th John M. Brown, Exalted Ruler of the Cedar City Elks Lodge, announces an-nounces that the members of the Lodge are rushing final preparations prepara-tions for the annual convention of the Utah Elks Association to be held in Cedar City on Friday. Committees from the local lodge, under the leadership of D. J. Mc-Murphy, Mc-Murphy, past exalted ruler, who Is convention chairman, are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to provide proper accommodations for the hundreds of visitors expected, ex-pected, and to provide a full program pro-gram of entertainment. The first two days of the convention con-vention will be devoted to business sessions with entertainment entertain-ment features each evening, while on Sunday a big outdoor canyon party will be staged at the Duck Creek Recreation camp, as the climax to the convention. A complete program of entertainment entertain-ment has been outlined for the visiting ladies during the first two days and they will Join with their husbands at the canyon party Sunday. Sun-day. Byron D. Jones of the Park City Lodge, State Association President, and Douglas Lambourne, District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler for Utah, will be in charge of business activities at the convention, while Mrs. Max Gcrber of Salt Lake City. President of the Utah Ladies of Elks, will be present to conduct the business sessions of the ladles division. i |
