Show National President To Attend Jaycee State Convention Walter W. Finke of Minneapolis, Minnesota, national president of the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce, is definitely planning plan-ning to attend the Utah state convention con-vention to be held here on August 30, 31 and September 1, according to a telegram from Mr. Finke which was received today by J. Dean Fisher, president of the local organization. or-ganization. Mr. Finke, a charter member of the Minneapolis Junior Association of Commerce, has been active In Junior chamber affairs for the past ten years, having taken an active part In nine national conventions. He holds a very responsible position posi-tion for a young man of 34, being appointed by Governor Harold E. Stassen in 1938 to be director of social welfare for the state of Minnesota. Min-nesota. In this position he serves as administrator of all welfare programs pro-grams for the state of Minnesota and as such heads a staff of 273 em- 1 Payees and is responsible for a department having annual expenditures expendi-tures of approximately 30 million dollars. Mr. Finke succeeds Mark S. Matthews Mat-thews as the chief executive of the United States Junior Chamber of of Commerce. |
