Show Funeral Services Held For Former Newcastle Resident Funeral services were held in the Third Ward chapel Sunday afternoon after-noon for Iris Forsyth Fife, 23, who died In Alberquerque, New Mexico, on January 2nd of heart trouble. The servlrps Bishop Samuel F. Leigh. Music was furnished by the choir, a quartet composed of H. M. Mosley, Vernon A. Jones, George Hess and L. F. Luke, and by Bert Carpenter and lone Jackson, who sang solos. The speakers were Dr. James S. Prestwlch, Prest-wlch, O. O. Larson and D. L. Sargent Sar-gent of Cedar City; Leo Knell and Charles Hulet of Newcastle. Invocation Invo-cation was pronounced by Leland S. Betensen, benediction by Kumen Gardner of Newcastle, and the grave was dedicated by Bishop Samuel F. Leigh. Interment was in the Cedar City cemetery. The deceased was born In Newcastle, New-castle, on January 26, 1918, a daughter daugh-ter of Jesse Turner and Mary Jameson Jame-son Forsyth. She married Roland W. Fife of Cedar City in the Manti temple In July, 1938. She is survived by her husband, and parents and by nine brothers and sisters, Keith Forsyth, California; Cali-fornia; Lee Forsyth and Mrs. Lu-clle Lu-clle Bonzo, Cedar City; Dean, Belle, Corrlne. Douglas, and Meade Forsyth, For-syth, Newcastle; and Mrs. Madge Gardner, Salt Lake City. |
