Show Oscar. Barrick, Injured in Auto Accident, Improving Oscar Barrick, 20, son of Mrs. N. Barrick of Cedar City, who was seriosuly Injured early Sunday morning when his car overturned at the Ash Creek bridge 20 miles south of Cedar City, is reported as slightly Improved at the Iron County , hospital where he was brought for medical treatment. Barrick, who is suffering from a fractured collarbone, abrasions, concussion con-cussion and possible internal injuries, in-juries, was rescued late Sunday afternoon af-ternoon after having been pinned in his wrecked automobile for several sev-eral hours. The accident was discovered dis-covered by Phillip Colvin, also 3f Cedar City, who noticed the wreck ed car while searching for a pen he had lost while picnicking near the bridge a few days before. Upon investigation, he found Barrick inside in-side , the car in a semi-conscious condition, unable to free himself from the' wreckage. Sheriff A. B. Prince of St. George and State Highway Patrolman Otto Fife of Cedar City Investigated the accident and reported that Bar-rick's Bar-rick's car had careened over the west abutment of the bridge and had come to a stop next to a large rock a few feet from the water. TheJ position of the car made it unlikely that he could have been seen by passing motorists. A |
