Show OUR little friend across tho rango of mountains, the Kane County Nows, cornea to tho defenso of tho Rev. Elmer I. Goshen in his stand against prohibition, with n somewhat lengthy and able editorial, in which ho half convinces us that Mr. Goshen is noting according to his honest convictions, in which case we can only sny that it is too bad that he manages to got on tho wrong "side of questions so often. And if it is true, as tho News says, that Mr. Goshen could die of thirst in a cellar containing all kinds of intoxicating in-toxicating beverages, there are n great many peoplo in tho state who haven't this amount of determination. If you can't persuade a man to be good, it is somotimes necessary to forco him to be good. Of course, it is always better if he will behave voluntarily. |
