Show JESSE. H6HI CLAIMS THAT 1 WRONG IMPRESSION IS OUT i ONTINTICMMRS Jesse Knight claims that a wrong , mpression has gone out relative to the pay day controversy in Tinttc, based on reports sent out from Tintic, which state in effect that the superintendents superin-tendents and foremen of the Knight companies have not acted fairly as between the men and Mr, (Knight. He claims that this is not so; that the superintendents and foremen and most of the miners working for the Knight companies have , been loyal and that their loyalty is greatly appreciated. He further denies that he has made any promises as to a twlce-a-month pay day; but that the men working in -r-rthe Knight mines, about 350, voted on the question, and over three-fourths of , the men voted in favor of a monthly pay day, and that the understanding, before the vote was taken, was that the men would abide by the vote of the majority. He states that most of the men are at work, in spite of the fact that some agitators are trying to work up a strike. |
