Show e ENOCH. Enoch, Utah, March 28, 1917. Old Folks Day at Enoch. The entertainment given the Old . Folks last Friday will long be remembered re-membered by those present. The special euests were all those over 40 years of age, while all the married people of tho ward were invited to be present. At 2 p. m. an excellent dinner was served, with all the bounties the land affords. The tables extended the full length of the ward hall, and everything every-thing was beautifully arranged. A-bout A-bout 60 married people partook of the .spread. After dinner an excellent program was rendered, and a good -social time followed. The committee did everything in their power to make it pleasant for the Old Polka, and no effort seemed too great to put forth in their behalf. In the evening a ! dance was given and all present had a jolly good time. Quite a number of our Cedar friends enjoyed the dance with us. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Armstrong and Mrs. Julia Cox of Cedar and Mr. and Mrs. Nels B. Dalley and William II. Dalley of Summit were present at our Old Folks party. Mrs. Julia Cox has been visiting here the past week with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mumford. i An interesting game of basket ball was played hero last week between the Enoch and Summit school boys, The result was a score of 25 to 10 in favor of Enoch. Last Monday another an-other game was played at Summit, with a score of 27-2.'! in favor of Summit. Sum-mit. Contractor Burton, with a force of men, began work on the Enoch school building yesterday. |
