H , The local cowboys have just left here on their annual spring round-up, gathering beef cattle. , Mr. Roberts and son Jess have fin ished hauling sulphur from the Ophir mill and they are glad of It, for tho t sulphur was very hard on tho eyes. 1(1 )l During tho week Mr. Voso wont to Modena after his wife and small daughter; but Mr. Voso was somewhat disappoplntcd on nccount of their being be-ing delayed. However, he was greeted greet-ed by Mrs. Voso and daughter on the third day. Mis3 Rhoda Bryant left Sunday for Cedar City to pay a brief visit to relatives rel-atives and friends, and also to attend the teachers' convention, and to be pi-esent at tho commencement exerciser exer-ciser of the B. C. from which many of her old chums were graduating. p Frank Perry, Lear Armstrong and Dillard Lancaster, together with two O'Grain children went down to Modena Mo-dena Sunday and spent tho afternoon about town. Mr. Lancaster went after af-ter Carl and Lillian O'Grain, who had just arrived from Eureka, after spending spend-ing tho winter in Bchool In that place. The above mentioned parties accompanied accom-panied them for a pleasure trip; but they must have obtained all the pleasure pleas-ure they wanted for It was 3 o'clock the next morning before they reached home. " Fritz Johnson, who has been employed em-ployed at the Ophir mine for some . time, was in town Monday attending to some Important mail. Mr. Johnson John-son states that ho is now employed at the Utah Spur, about a mile north- west of tho Ophir. She is well pleased with tho situation and predicts great things. Dillard Lancaster and Cnrl O'Grain have been out to tho O'Grain ranch for a few days. Decoration Day passed in a nice, quiet way hcic. All "the childien and most of the old people gave their le-spects le-spects to the day. |
