In competition with an imposing urray of six and eight cylinder cars, a Dodge Brothers' motor car entcrsd in the annual hill-climb at SpokanO, Washington, May lGth, won first place In its class and finished second In tho free-for-all event. News of the Detroit car's splendid showing was received in a wire from the Seven-Seven Company, Dodge Brothers' dealer In Spokane, who was responsible for the car's entry. The Spokane hill-climb takes place on a hill 2,074 feet long with an nver-age nver-age grade of 8 per cent. At one point there is a riso of 168 feet in two-fifths of a mile, and tho grade at this section approximates 17 per cent. Supposedly a walk-away for the light and four cylinder cas entered In the event, the sturdy Dodge Brothers' Broth-ers' car surprised the thousands of spectators by finishing second in the frec-for-nll event with tho excellent time of 49 2-5 seconds. An eight cyl Indcr car finished ahead of tho four cylinder Dodgo Brothers' car, which In turn defeated one eight and five six cylinder machines.
