Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS. Scaled bids will be received by the undersigned up to 8 o'clock p. m.. Thursday, August 17th, 1916. for all materials and labor required in the complete erection of a PUBLIC SCHOOL BUILDING for the Board of Education of Iron County, Utah, said building to be erected nt Parowan, Paro-wan, Utah, in accordance with plans & specifications and details nrcnarcd by Cannon & Fetzer, Architects, 506 Tern-pleton Tern-pleton Building, Salt Lake City, Utah, and which are open for inspection for bidders at their .office or at the office of Randall L. Jones, Architect, or the undersigned, both at Cedar City, Utah. All bids will be publicly opened op-ened and read at the above time at the office of the undersigned. All bids must be addressed to the undersigned and marked "Bidl" Bids will be received on different portions of the work, as follows: General contract, including everything every-thing but plumbing, heating and ventilation, ven-tilation, and Plumbing, heating and ventilation. Bids must not contain conditions, Qualifications, propositions, or other things than are called for in the specifications; spec-ifications; and bidders must use, without with-out change, the form of bid to be obtained ob-tained from said Architects. No other form of bid will bo received. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check on some reliable bank in Utah, for at least five per cent, of the amount thereof, payable to the undersigned. The amount called for by said check to be forfeited to the undersigned if the bid accompanying it is accepted and the bidder fails to enter into the contract and furnish the required bond within five days after its acceptance. The successful bidder will be required re-quired to furnish a satisfactory bond for 50 per cent, of the amount of the contract. The form of contract and bond are at the office of the Architects and can there be inspected. A deposit of $15.00 will be required by the Architects for each complete Bet and $7.50 for each partial set of prints and specifications given out; said deposit will be returned after the bids are opened, on return of the prints and specifications in good order, and if the one securing them shall have submitted a proposal in duo form; otherwise the net cost thereof will ue deducted and the balance returned. Each bidder will be required to state in his proposal the time required by him to complete the work, and the amount he will allow for the materials mater-ials in the old building just as it stands, as well as the cost of constructing con-structing the proposed building; and these elements will bo considered in making the award. It is the desire of the Board to have the building ready for occupnncy as soon as it is possible possi-ble to have it. .
