Show PARAGQNAH. Paragonah, Utah, Feb. 18, 1914. Stdrmy weather has set in again. It has been raining and Bnowing for two. days and nights, on account of which the roads out of Paragonah are getting to be awfully muddy. On tho 17th mst J. C. Robb and Clarance Lamoreaux, two of our young men, chose up sides of twenty men each for a rabbit hunt, the losing side to give a free dance to tho winners. win-ners. About eleven o'clock this morning the count was completed and showed a victory for Clarence Lamoreaux Lam-oreaux and his men by 1G8 rabbits. Over 1900 scalps were counted and there were a great number wounded that the huntsmen failed to get. Tho dance was scheduled for Wednesday night, but at a late hour last night it was not definitely decided when it would be held. Tho Elders, Seventies and High Priests of tlu paragonah ward are making preparations for a reunion or entertainment to be held next Friday. It will consist Of of a program in the afternoon, to be followed by a dance and ice cream in the evening. Sam Abbott, who has been herding sheep for the Robinson Brothers the past winter, is seen on our streets these days. It is rumored that Sam and Myrtle Robinson expect to leave for St. George soon to bo married. They have been courting for a number of years and it is hoped that tho rumor may prove to bo correct. Frank Williaws took a load of grain to Cedar City last Sunday ,his wife and baby going as far as Summit oh a visit. They returned today. |
