Webb of the Iron M County Coal Company was in Cedar City again last Tuesday making ar- rangemetits for the work on the aer- H ial tramway, on the tenipcrary road that is being constructed to the mine, over which the timber and machinery H for the tram will be transported for H the bunkhouse to be erected a short distance from the portal of the mine for the use of the miners and other H employees, und the various other dc- tails of the industry which is being H launched here. Mr. Webb was highly elated over H the showing made in the portal of the new tunnel that has just been op- H eticd. "We have nine feet of clean, H pretty coal," said Mr. Webb, "without H a streak or flaw in it." H Continuing Mr. Webb stated that H the plans for the bunkhouse had been H drawn and accepted. It is fashioned H after the army cantonment, and will H be located on the flat a short distance H below the portal of the tunnel. A H level track yard 60 by no feet will be H constructed nt the mouth of the tun- H nel and the portal to the mine will be substantially cemented. From the H start the tunnel will be timbered in H the most approved fashion, and the opening will be made large, not less M than eight feet in width, so that it -' will be possible to drive wagons inte I the mine to load them should such a H thing be found advisable at any time. H The 75 h. p. cutcrpiller tractor that B was ordered by the company for the I transporting of the lumber and ma- H chinery necessary from the railroad H to town, is now at .Lund, and the IS B trailers ordered in connection are ex- HHJ peeled in a short time.
