Show Summit. Dr. Green of Cedar City was called in yesterday to see little Alden Miles who has been ill for several days. Pneumonia is his trouble. Mr. and Mrs. Angus Riggs have just returned from a visit to Panguitch where they have been to visit Mr. Riggs' father. They report having had a very pleasant time. Next Friday night, March 14th the Summit Dramatic company will present the comedy entitled entitl-ed "Uncle Josh" in the Amusement Amuse-ment Hall. Bp.f Charles R. Dalley has just received a large shipment of spring goods and is now ready to give to the people anything they may call for. Talk about your good times! The ladies of this place certainly had it last night when they met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Morton Walker's. The guests busied themselves "tacking rags" while the host and hostess prepared the most dainty refreshments re-freshments and entertainments in their usual jolly Way. The many friends of Brother John Bcecroft and family, who were refugees of Mexico, 'and who made their home with the people of Summit for a few months, will be gald to know that tney have arrived in safety at their homeln Greer, Arizona, after traveling by team a distance dis-tance of 600 miles. However, their journey was not without adventure. Upon arriving at the Colorado river they found the ice breaking and on the opposite side was a large sand bar which they must pass through to find a landing. The' boatmen were loath to carry them across and would not do so until they signed papers to show that they were responsible themselves if any accident happened. The company had no time to lose as they were expecting an addition addi-tion to the company. The day after their arrival at Greer, a fine baby boy was born to them. All were doing fine arid glad to be at their journey's end. Mrs. Clea Larsen of Big Horn Wyoming, who is here visiting her mother, Mrs. Pratt, is now in Cedar the guest of her uncle Mr. Lehi Thorley of that place. |
