Show SATISFIED WITH ACCOM- PLISHMENTS OF SESSION. Sunday evening a party consisting of Senator William Seegmiller, Representative Rep-resentative MeekB of Kane county, and' Elder William Mackclprang, whose homo is also in Kanab, and who has recently fulfilled a mission in tho Southern States, left for their homes by autjmbile, via Hurricane. Senator Seegmille expressed himself him-self as highly pleased with tho treatment treat-ment accorded the representatives of tho south in the recent Legislature, and stated that they had obtained all that they had expected or hoped for. Tho Grand Canyon highway bill was .passed by both houses of the legislature, legisla-ture, and sent to tho governor, who is almost certain to approve it; the Branch Agricultural College while not retting all that was asked for, particularly par-ticularly the cottage for use of the principal, is nevertheless as well provided pro-vided for, population considered, as any of the other state institutions. The prohibition bill was passed by both houses, and the responsibility is now with tho governor. If ho vetoes it, the matter is between him and the peoplo of the state. Taking all in all, Senator Seegmiller felt that while this had been a more keenly contested session than any held in a long while, it had been ono of the most important and successful sessions of recent years. |
