cucumber tomato relish take one large ripe cucumber peel and slice place la in an enamel kettle with a tablespoonful of bait salt cover with hot water and boll until tender then tako take three large larke ripe tomatoes and remove their skins after drain ing aa the water from the cucu cucumbers abers cut tomatoes up and put in fit with the encumbers add one cup of vinegar and a ams 1 1 cup of sugar loll 1011 until the tomatoes are done if not salt enough add a little also a few whole cloves and allspice mix a dessertspoonful of potato flour with some cold vinegar and stir into the mix ture after coming to a good boiling point can hot this makes a little over a pint jar full
