N. O." Club was held at the home of Mrs. Henry Clark last Wednesday night, and one tbht will be especially appreciated appreci-ated by the creditors of the organization, or-ganization, as it appeared to be the annual "settling up" period, and all the oldscores standing against members for the past twelve months were wiped off. As a result the name, "O-Nly Owe" will probably be changed as it wou'd no longer be appropriate. appro-priate. The first business of the session ses-sion was the election of officers for the ensuing year, but since in the past the president had been obliged to stand in the gap for the bills of the Club candidates candi-dates were not overly plentiful. After passing the plum from one to the other for some time and it being declined, it was decided that an executive board would be more fitting. The choice for members rested upon Mrs. S. J. Foster, Mrs. Isaaic C. Parry and Mrs. Henry Clark When the president announced that the settlement of bills was in order there was a wild scramble scram-ble for cash. It was found that there was $3.48 in the room, and this was made to do double, treble and quadruple duty, being be-ing paid jind repaid, and then borrowed and paid again until finally all the accounts were declared de-clared liquidated, and the club commences upon the new year with light hearts and a clean slate. But this proved too much of a problem so was laid under the table until tho next bi-monthly meeting. It is hoped that by the time for the next meeting rolls round it will have increased sufficiently to meet the financial requirements of the organization. organiza-tion. The next meeting will be at the free lunch room in the basement base-ment of the new Cedars Hotel this evening. It is expected that there Will be a full attendance of all members.
