Show BOY DISUJCATS ANKLE Tuesday morning, while assisting assist-ing in the plowing of ground on the farm of his father in Quitch-apa Quitch-apa valley, Bert McConnell, the fourteen-year-old son of W. J. McConnell, was severoly injured by falling from a sulky plow. The boy had been in the habit of playing with a colt and the animal had learned to playfuly bite and pull at his clothes. It seems that on this paticular occasion, oc-casion, Bert was standing on the rear of the plow which was being driven by another, and the colt, coming up quietly behind be-hind him,- seized hold of the bottom of his overalls and gave a sudden pull. Caught wholly unawares, he was thrown backwards back-wards and his left foot slipped between the levers of the plow. A cry of pain caused the driver to stop tho team, and the boy as released. As soon as possible he was brought to this city and Dr. E. P. Green was summoned. After making an examination the doctor stated that the ankle had been factured and the big toe broken. The injuries were dressed and at present the lad js resting easily and progressing rapidly toward recovery. |
