Show PRESS ASSOCIATION TO MEETJN UTAH Wo have received word from tho stnto Editorial Association that Salt Lako City hns been accepted as the meeting plnco for tho next Nntionnl Editorial Association convention in 19"22, nnd tho date for tho first meeting meet-ing hns been set for July 11th. Tho progrnm has been outlined for ten days or two weeks nnd will include in-clude a trip to Ogdcn, Provo nnd any other cities that would core to finance such n trip. Tho first three dnys of the convention is to bo held in Snlt Lnkc City with tho opening session nt tho state cnpitol nnd banquets in the evenings. Tho remaining portion of the time is to. be given over to sight seeing trips nnd vnrious trips by the Commercial Com-mercial club of Snlt Lake and tho L. D. S. church. Tho latter will include in-clude n trip to Emmigrntion Cnnyon on Sunday, services at "Pinccrest Inn," with nn nddrcss by President Grant nnd a banquet in tho evening to bo given to tho editors. There will bo between 300 nnd 400 editors nt tho convention, representing represent-ing newspapers from nil over United States. If Cedar's n,cw hotel is completed com-pleted by next July, it would be possible pos-sible for Cedar to handle this convention con-vention for n sight seeing trip. How-over, How-over, nil expenses incident to the trip would have to be paid by tho city, nnd it is a question whether Ccdnr could Btand that expense. If it becomes be-comes possible to hnvo this convention conven-tion visit Cedar, it would do more for Cedar in the way of publicity than all the other parties combined that havo been in Iron county. |
