Show SELECT SING COJMIICKEI REPUBLICANS IN CONVENTION TUESDAY CHOOSE COUNTY OFFICERS FOR ELECTION IN NOVEMBER. 00 Delegates from every precinct in tho county attended the convention held here Tuesday and nominated what they believe will bo the winnor at tho November election. Harmony prevailed at the convention, conven-tion, and a feeling of unity was manifested. Tho convention opened with tho usual preliminaries, after which the delegates were informed by Chairman Chair-man W. H. Lyman that nominations were in order for tho position of county representative. H. J. Doolit-tle Doolit-tle and Randall L. Jones wero placed before tho delegates, and tho balot-ting balot-ting showed G votes for Doolittlo, 28 for Jones. Immediately upon tho conclusion of the count Mr. Doolittlo Doolit-tlo moved that the nomination of Mr. Jones be made unanimous, which was done. The other nominees were as follows: fol-lows: Long term commission, H. L. Adams. Short terjn commissioner, Berry Williams. Clerk, John W Bentley.- Assessor, Hillman Dalley. Treasurer, Clair Rowley. Sheriff, J. T. Leigh. Recorder, Miss Kate Taylor. Attorney. G. Hunter Lunt. Surveyor, Hillman Dalloy. After the selection of the ticket John P. Fuller was elected as county chairman for the ensuing two years, with Herbert Haight as secretary. |
