Show The Two Orphans The "Two Orphans, "as played at tho Princess theatre in seven acts, each act a special scene, gave the best of satisfaction. The production is under the direction di-rection of the well known actor, Luke Coscrovo. Tho first act is tho Pont Nouf, showing tho river Siene and the towers of Notro Dame; the second sec-ond act is tho Pelair Garden of the Marquis Do Preales and the gay crowds of Revelers. The midnight duel scene is a splendid splen-did spectarlo. The snow scene and the church of St. Sulpice in act four, also tho gloomy spacious spac-ious prison of the Salpet riere are other realistic scenes, as is also the interior of the old boat houso on the river Sieno where Louise is held prisoner by the Pag, La Frochard. Ono is chiefly impressed, however, how-ever, by the fine characters offered offer-ed by the members of the Walters Wal-ters company. Tho acting is .worthy ofigh praise. Henrietta Henri-etta and Louise are in the capable capa-ble charge of Miss Purl Galaway and Miss Jennie Karem. Deal Walters in the role of Countess Do Linieros shows that she is an accomplished actress in society parts. Tho Jaques of Leon Cluff in conception, interpretation interpreta-tion and make-up is a compiling ruffian. Piorro is splendidly acted act-ed by Luke Cosgrove. W. C. Walters as Chavalier everyone will admire his splendid voice and commanding stage presence compols attention. The sword duel between Marquis Do Preales and Chevalier is no tame aiTair, it is most interesting. Mr. Howard Sabin as Picard does light comedy nicely;-Losn Re. publican, , (Logan. U tah. ) Aug. 29. |
