Show Pleasant Dance in Ward Hall. Wednesday evening the .district .dis-trict school athletic association gave a dance in honor of the eighth grade students. Tiey also sent out special invitations to the board of directors of the gymnasium gym-nasium and to the teacners of the school. The young people indulged in the pleasant pastime of dancing, and all seemed to enjoy them-elves. them-elves. Jt . instiuctor, assisted the athfelic" association in managing tho dance, and took occasion to speak of the work of the boys and girls that. have received instruction in-struction from him. lie said that the association had been very successful the past winter, having pulled off several exhibitions, exhibi-tions, and had realized consider-, :able money, 'which had paid all expenses, leaving a neat sum in the treasury. , Mr. Dal ton stated that the young people had enjoyed it also. 'They had received great benefits ram the work and he urged them to continue. ) Mr. M. II. Dalley, a mombei of the board of directors of the gymansium, spoke a few moments mo-ments to the young people, assuring assur-ing them that the services of Mr. Dalton had been entirely satisfactory, and that an effoit would be made to employ him for the coming winter. The evening proved to be an enjoyable one to all who were there and the young folks were loaMie to adjourn when 11:C0 o'clock arrived. |
