Show ANNOUNCES HIS CANDIDACY. 00 In trying to get n line-up on whom might bo out for sheriff in the democratic de-mocratic party we were told that Alfred Froyd was considering tho proposition of allowing his namo to bo presented in the coming democratic demo-cratic county convention for the nomination of sheriff, nnd to make suro thrit this information was correct cor-rect we interviewed tho gentleman. I Mr. Froyd stnted that ho had been asked by n number of politically in-I in-I forested men of tho county, both (democrats nnnd republicans, to allow his name to bo presented nt the convention, con-vention, nnd that ho had finally decided de-cided to do so. Ho announced that he was willing to run for the noml-' noml-' nntion and from what he could glean 1 from those interested ho was as- sural of the nomination. l'f tho democrats plnco Mr. Froyd on the democratic they will hnvo n man of experience who will draw a heavy vote, because tho people know him well, nnd ho has had 17 yenra cxpcricnco as n peaco officer, having hav-ing held the important positions of U. S. Deputy Marshal, County Sheriff Sher-iff of Iron County, and City Marshal of Cedar City. During his scrvico as peaco officer offi-cer Mr. Froyd gained a wide experience exper-ience in handling nil kinds of cases, civil and criminal, and learned tho absoluto necessity of getting tho facta in every caso before making arrests. Mr. Froyd's record as a peace officer of-ficer stands well above the average in number of cases brought beforo tho court and the number of convictions convic-tions had. HU experience will stand him well in hand should he be lucky enough to win tho election, and if elected the people can rest assured that ho will do his full duty. |
