Show ASPIRANTS FOR POLITCAL OFFICE 00 GOOD MEN SPOKEN OF, SpME ANNOUNCE THEMSELVES. 00 The political situation is gaining in interest among the people generally, general-ly, many thinking seriously of whom would be the best for the various offices of-fices that will be filled at tho No-vembor No-vembor election. Several aspirants hnvo announced their willingness to try for nomination nomina-tion and election, hnd there are several sev-eral good men being spoken of for office that have not, so fnr as we are able to learn, stated that they would throw their "hats in the ring" for nomination. As we view tho situntion so fnr as candidates nre concerned, we find it nbout as follows: For representative we have II. J. Doollttlo of Lund, whose friends, especially on the west side of tho county nnd in Paragonah and Parownn, Paro-wnn, sny will evidently lnnd the nomi-nntion, nomi-nntion, nnd wo hnvo been told that Harry has been "building his fences" quietly, nnd hns strong assurance of landing enough votes at tho county convention to have his name put on tho republican ticket. On the other hnnd Randall L. Jones is out for the nomination, and although al-though not working very actively for tho support of the probable candidates candi-dates to tho convention,, seems to have the support of those that will attend from Cedar, Kannrra, Enoch, Summit and Newcastle, which if correct cor-rect will give him the majority by ono or two votes. Then comes tho democrats with the suggestion that E. J. Palmer will mnko a good man for tho position,' nnd severnl friends nre working to' thnt end for tho gentleman, although I he, so fnr ns wo know, is ninking no effort himself. Tho other men nnd one lady out for I the other county offices nre nbout ns follows: Clerk, J. W. Bentley, republicnn; Will L. Adams, democrat. Treasurer, Clair Rowley, republican, republi-can, todate no democrat in sight. Recorder, Miss Kate Taylor; no lopublican in sight. Sheriff, J. T. Leigh, republican; Alfred Froyd, democrat; Thos. Lawrence, Lawr-ence, republican. Assessor, Hillman Dnlley, republicnn; repub-licnn; Jos. Stevenson, republican; Rees J. Williams, republican; No democrat in sight. .Attorney G.
