As poplars grow very easily from cuttings it Is not necessary-to plant them In nttrsory rows first, as they will root almost anywhere, hut better trees will bo obtained by adopting tho former mothod. Not more thnn ono bud, or, at tho most, two,,suould be loft above ground when planting, as if much of tho cutting Is expobed it may dry out boforo rooting, |
