Keel, who has been spending the past few months in New York, left on Tuesday for a trip to Europe with her children, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bensiger. Patrick Sullivan of Park City is spending a few days in the city. Miss Edna Jacobs of Seattle is visiting vis-iting Miss June Bintz. Frank Westcott has returned from Ohio. Mrs. Westcott and her little son remained in Ohio visiting relatives. rela-tives. James Salisbury entertained last week in honor of his birthday. William M. Wilson of Brooklyn, N. Y., is spending the summer with the Salisbury boys. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Foley are visiting visit-ing in Montana. Mrs. Donaher, mother of Dr. W. A. Donaher of Park City, is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Higgins in this city. Mrs. Donaher will shortly return re-turn to her home in Nebraska. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Grant and family fam-ily have returned from a trip to Portland. Port-land. J. D. Wood left last week for Los Angeles on a hurried business trip. Dennis Ryan returned last week to his home in St. Paul, Minn., after as important business visit here. Miss Florence Teehan left on Wednesday Wed-nesday for Denver to visit friends. Miss Agnes Ryan of St. Paul, Minn., is in the city, the guest of her uncle, Manager Ryan, of the Montana Consolidated Con-solidated Mining company, and will remain during her vacation. o Mrs. John G. McKinney and daughter daugh-ter Ruth of Grand Junction are visiting visit-ing Mrs. A. F. Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Coulam have returned from their wedding trip and are receiving their friends at 15 Wellington Wel-lington Court. Mrs. D. S. Spencer and children will leave Tuesday for Santa Barbara, Cal., to visit Mrs. Spencer's cousin, Mrs. A. W. Taylor. Miss Pauline Betting of Cincinnati, O., has come to Salt Lake to spend the summer with her brother, Adolph Betting. John Shea spent last week in Park City. Mrs. Grimes is seriously ill at the holy Cross hospital. The news of her illness will cause deep regret among hosts'of friends, who have known her for years, Mrs. Grimes being one of the pioneer women of Nevada and Utah. The many friends of Mrs. J. C. Lynch wil be pleased to hear that she is very much improved in health. Miss Angela Kinney is enjoying her vacation with her sisters the Misses Kinney. John McCooey will soon return to the city after a year's absence.' Roy Williams, the talented young violinist, will enter Ann Arbor in September. Sep-tember. E. F. Frudenthal left on Monday night for his home at Pioche after spending several days with his aunt, Mrs. Grimes, who is seriously ill. Mrs. Louise Smedley Smith left Wednesday for a visit with friends in Missouri and Kentucky. Denis Sullivan and Master Jack O'Donnell returned last week from a visit to Chicago. P. A. Sullivan ,of Park City was in the city last week for a few days. Mrs. Thomas O'Connor has returned home after k month's visit in Idaho. Among the officials who will report to the San Pedro when the formal transfer of the Short Line is made is J. L. Craig, who has been appointed local agent to succeed H. V. Piatt Mr. Craig, who was formerly a Union Pacific Pa-cific man, has been with the Short' Line since 1897 as traveling auditor and is one of the most popular men on the line. He is highly esteemed by all and is well deserving of his promotion. j o Marguerite Fitzgerald, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Fitzgerald, 821 East First South, is issuing invitation cards for a party in honor of her eleventh birthday. M. J. Shannon returned last Monday Mon-day from an extended trip through Idaho and Montana, where he conducted con-ducted a very successful canvass in the interest of the Intermountain Catholic. Cath-olic. . B. C. McDonough, accompanied by his little daughter Reta returned to Stateline Tuesday evening after a pleasant sojourn of two weeks in the city. Rev. George T. McCarthy of the Holy Name cathedral, Chicago, who spent two months in Utah last summer sum-mer for his health, was so benefited during his stay that he has again returned re-turned to inhale the balmy mountain air. He is accompanied by Rev. E. F. Rice of St Cecelia's church, and his mother. All have made Castilla Springs their summer resort. Mrs. Donovan of Cork, Ireland, mother of Tim Donovan of Park City and Margaret Donovan of the Ford House, died last month at her old residence. res-idence.
