Monday morning at 8 o'clock a requiem req-uiem high mass was celebrated for all the souls of the faithful departed by Rev. Father Galligan and sung by the following ladies: Mrs. M. J. McGill, Miss Genevieve Fitzpatrick, Miss Anna Osika and the Kelly sisters: The male members of the choir Messrs. J. C. Kelly and H. A. Malone were unavoidably una-voidably absent, and their rich, sweet voices which add so much to the singing sing-ing at St. Mary's were missed on that solemn occasion. Miss Malone presided pre-sided at the organ. ; . Friday, the 7th inst., being the first Friday of the month, mass will be offered of-fered up at St. Mary's of Assumption for the members of the Sacred Heart society at 7 o'clock a. rri. ' Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament will be given in the evening at 7 p. m, . Mr. Patrick Power returned to the Park last Friday after a visit of six months at his mother's home in County Coun-ty Waterford, Ireland. Mr. Power looks well after his ocean trip and admits that he enjoyed every hour of his absence ab-sence from Park City, but now that he finds himself here again he thinks Park is all right, j - Monday morning, the 3d inst.,' at 5 o'clock. Rev. Father Galligan united in marriage Miss Cora'Crossman and Mr. Richard Sykes. The ceremony was performed in the Catholic church, Mr. Sykes was baptized by Father' Galligan Galli-gan last June. Miss Ellen Crossman was bridesmaid, and Mr. George Cross-man Cross-man groomsman. The" wedding breakfast break-fast was served at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Mary Crossman. After a short reception the happy couple cou-ple left for Heber to spend a few days with Mrs. Ritter, the groom's sister. Mrs. Patrick Heenan, Mrs. Rosy Galligan, Gal-ligan, Mrs. Stanton Rolley, Mrs. Henry Cary and a number of others marche. in a body Thursday night of last week and invaded the home of Mrs. Murty McPolin by way of a surprise. They carried with them all kinds of refreshments, refresh-ments, which at intervals durinsr the evening they thoroughly enjoyed. Mr. Murty McPolin spent Wednesday and -Thursday of last week in Salt Lake on business and came home Friday Fri-day morning.. yy- Mr. William McSorley-is nursing a very sore foot. Miss Frances Wilson returned from Coalville Tuesday. , Mrs. Sarah J. Wilson returned home from Salt Lake Wednesday morning. At St. Mary's school -the following boys won prizes" for application and improvement during the month of October: Oc-tober: John Martin, Redmond McDon-ough, McDon-ough, Murty McPolin, Thomas Maloney, Harry Doyle, Leo Shields and William Mulcahy. The Misses Annie and Teresa Deason gave a delightful Hallowe'en party to a number of their-friends Friday, night. ' - - - .' . Mr. Dan McPolin went to Omaha last week on a business visit. The Ladies' auxiliary's second annual ball, which takes place at Maple hall Wednesday, Nov. 12, promises to be one of the leadingevents of the year. Superintendent Harrington of the Keystone spent a few days in Salt Lake this week. -- - Mrs. W. G.
