Show u BUTTE, MONT. A prominent event of the week in society was the handsome dinner given on Tuesday evening of last week by Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Lynch, at which covers were laid for twelve. The table was beautifully trimmed with long stemmed American Beauty roses, shades to match the roses covered cov-ered the incandescents, the chanJe-lieres chanJe-lieres being interwound with asparagus aspara-gus vine. In the parlor white Marguerites, Mar-guerites, with vines of foliage, were used with charming effect. Plain white cards were used to designate the places. A perfect menu was served, which was enjoyed by Mr. and Mrs. McC. White, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Mullins, Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Leonard. Leon-ard. Mr. and Mrs. O'Farrell, Miss Talbott of Columbia Falls, Miss Kirk-patrick Kirk-patrick and the host and hostess. Dr. Jed Freund entertained at the Broadway on last Thursday evening, the party occupying a box. Those present were: " Dr. and Mrs. I. Freund, Miss Emily Whitney, Miss Hattie Young, Dr. William Hall, Mr. Carlos Warfield and the host. . Mrs. ' Theo. Ehret, Misses Louise and Bertha Ehret were Butte guests during the week, having stopped on their return from Arkansas Hot Springs, where they have been for three months. Miss Rose O'Malley has returned from a visit of two months with friends in Michigan. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mueller have announced the engagement of their daughter, Miss Eugenie Mueller, to Mr. Albert Rochester. The nuptials will be an event in early June and will be a home affair. Mrs. U. Duquet of Salt Lake City is in the city, the guest of her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. W. H. Lindsay. o |
