Show WHOOPING UP LOON CREEK. Another Company to Be Organized Here Prospectors Entering Camp. A letter from Custer. Ida., dated Saturday Satur-day last, says that Clarence E. Eddy, editor of the Prospector and discoverer of the famous Lost Packer property on Loon creek, has just returned from that locality, where he has finished locating a new group of twelve claims for a Salt Lake and Custer combination. The new property is thought to be an extension of the Lost Packer lode and from a twenty-foot twenty-foot vein good values in gold were obtained. ob-tained. The writer savs it is the intention inten-tion to incorporate the property under the laws of Utah as the Golden Giant Mining company and, list the shares on the Salt Lake mining exchange. Josiah Barnett, J. A. Czizek and other Salt Lakers are said to be interested. Men are now leaving Custer for the new camp daily and scores of locations are being be-ing made. Snow will be a hindrance to intelligent prospecting until the latter part of May, but for all that, the letter says, the boom is now on and by the time summer arrives, hundreds of men will be prospecting the region for other Lost Packers. |
