Show ANOTHER SORT. Butlers must be dignified, even in the most undignified un-dignified families. A writer in the Cincinnati Commercial Com-mercial Tribune tells the 'story of an English butler but-ler who thus conversed with the minister, who had called to make inquiries on the occasion of the birth of a child. "Is it a boy?" he asked. ' " "Xo, sir." ' "Is it a girl?" "Xo, sir." Whereupon the inquirer gasped, and intimated that he was very much astonished. j The butler then announced: "Madam has given i birth to an heir, sir." Youth's Companion- , . |
