Mi. J. C. Mathews of Denver, Colo., a finished elocutionist, is visiting Galveston Gal-veston for a couple of months. On St. Patrick's evening she kindly gave her assistance to the entertainment given by St. Patrick's congregation, when she read "Erin's Flag," one of Father Ryan's poems. For an encore she gave "Shandon Belle." She has a voice of great power and patnos, and her ges-trues ges-trues are good. Her reading is good in every particular. She is a complete master of her art, and the people of Galveston will be glad to hear her again. Galveston News. |
