Show WESTPHALIA 1,100 YEARS OLD. Westphalia is a great Catholic division of Germany, Ger-many, and has furnished the United States with many fine types of the Teutonic missionary priest. On a recent Sunday it celebrated the eleventh centenary of St. Ludger, the great bishop of the historic See of Muenster. Eleven hundred years is not an unusual length of title for a Catholic see, but will any Protestant see ever attain so venerable ven-erable a one, it may be wondered. The present prospects for an affirmative answer look decidedly blue. ,t . . - c- !.'.,. |
