Show Salt Lake Theatre. Osrar Figman and Ruth White will he seen te the Salt Lake theatre next Friday in Richard Carle's and H. L. Hrartz great musical comedy success. "The Tenderfoot." This characteristic opera abounds in picturesque scenes, the Texas locale giving abundant opportunity op-portunity for richness of. coloring in the costuming of the Mexicans .and scnoritas, the rangers and cowboys Vnd girls, and the eminary visitors. The music Is swinging and tuneful, while the comedy is of a variety that has caused critics to call "The Tenderfoot" the funniest of musical comic operas. Mr. Figman in the title role is said to be delightful with his quaint humor and d-nelng. Miss White, one of the greatest prima donnas in the country, brings to the role of Marlon a remarkably remark-ably fine soprano voice and acting ability. Lawrence Coever, a tenor of distinction, has made much of the role of Paul, while Harry B. Williams, Edy-the Edy-the Kherns, Louise Brackett and A. W. Hutchins, also score heavily. The chorus is splendidly drilled, and the organization is one of the largest that will be seen here during the entire season, numbering seventy people. - |
