Show Sale of Irish Books. The DuO-in correspondent of tne Montreal Star in a recent letter says: "Judging by the number of Irish books which have been sold during the past year, the native language, seems to be 'booming.' The report of the So-; So-; ciety for the Preservation of the Irish Language shows that in 1900 f9,510 I books were sold, as compared with 8,-1.478 8,-1.478 in 1900. This brings the total of ! books sold by the society since the commencement com-mencement of the movement up to . 217,788. not including those brought 1 out by American publishers, with the Konsent of the society, tor sale in the states." |
