Show "The Fraudulent Ex-Priest." (BY W. MAJELLA GAVIN.) To the Editor Kinctly allow me space in your valued paper, which ia doing so much for our grand faith here in America, Amer-ica, to call attention to that hair-brained hair-brained fellow Dulaney, who poses for an ex-priest. My purpose for doing so is twofold. First, because I wish to expose ex-pose this so-called ex-priest, and, second, sec-ond, to warn our non-Cathtfllc friends against his deceptive ways. As far as I can see, his whole life is founded found-ed on fraud. For several years past this fellow Dulaney has been going about the country claiming to be an ex-priest. Every little while he keeps bobbing up and down. For a moment we see him and another moment he is lost to view. Now let me say right here that this man is no priest. Thank God he never knelt before a bishop to receive that awful power to loose or to bind which is given to priests. Thank God again that his true character was revealed while at Epiphany College. In my opinion, the poor delinquent may not realize what a fool he is as an ex-priest in order to pick up1 a scanty likelihood. If so, then let me say, Mr. Dulaney, you are indeed badly bad-ly off. This ex-priest claims to have studied in, Rome for fourteen years. He lies. I doubt if he was ever in Rome. How is it, Mr. Dulaney, that it is not fourteen years since you were expelled from Epiphany? Mr. Dulaney, you are known. You' have been pointed out by both Catholic Cath-olic and Protestant as a wolf in sheep's clothing. Every place you have appeared ap-peared you have belittled yourself. Could you return in the same guise to the places where you have before appeared, ap-peared, and relate to them the same stories which you have done before? Not safely so. Not without being made extremely uncomfortable. You have deceived all those to whom you have ever spoken. You have demonstrated to what a degree of degeneracy one such as you can descend. You have deliberately de-liberately practiced deception,- endeavoring, endeav-oring, as you thought, to bring disgrace dis-grace on the Catholic priesthood and upon that noble institution, the Catholic Cath-olic Church. But you have failed; and faided most miserably. Everywhere you are branded as an unscrupulous liar. .Your whole history of collego days might be inserted in this short article (if you have any), and in humiliation hu-miliation I have withheld such. I do not consider you good enough to be made the subject of my writing. My object, as stated above, is to warn our well-meaning non-Catholic . friends against your fraud. As for entering into a controversy with you, I rest assured you are too ignorant for that. Take my advice, and if you are not afraid of the light, come east until we can show you up even more than you are at present. I might go on calling attention atten-tion to your rascality, but with what 1 have said my purpose seems attained, that is, of making you again retreat from view. W.
